Synopsis
A unique family drama set in the world of a hip hop empire. The story revolves around a wealthy family that Lucious Lyon focused father with a difficult childhood and spend much effort has been able to build giant and reputable music by doctors ALS is diagnosed with a fatal disease and he with more than three years to live. So Lucious should immediately decided to choose his successor after his death and this is the beginning of the competition between the three children he named Hakeem, Jamal and Andre each with their own abilities and moral qualities they want to somehow qualify prove himself to inherit his great company. Empire is an American musical drama television series created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong which debuted on January 7, 2015 on Fox. Although it is filmed in Chicago,[2][3] the show is set in New York. It centers on a fictional hip hop music and entertainment company, Empire Entertainment, and the drama among the members of the founders’ family as they fight for control of it. A hip-hop mogul must choose a successor among his three sons who are battling for control over his multi-million dollar company, while his ex-wife schemes to reclaim what is hers. The pilot was shown to be a success, garnering praise for Taraji’s portrayal of Cookie Lyon and the premiere receiving nearly 10 million viewers and the season finale with 17 million viewers.
